

The Creation Care Competition is designed to engage and mobilize primary school students in western Kenya in “Creation Care” through education, tree planting and environmental stewardship.
The Competition is a 1-year tree planting and education competition for primary schools (grades 1 to 8). 8 schools participate for one year and Competition winners are selected on multiple factors:

Student, teacher and parent engagement

Tree planting / growth success

Christian Religious Education (CRE)

Environmental education

Science and Math curriculum integration
Participating primary schools provide:

Land for growing trees

Leadership and oversight

Education development

Quarterly progress reports

No inorganic chemicals are allowed
As the competition sponsor, the Jubilee Village Project provides:

3 English Bibles (1 for teachers, 2 for students)
Creation Care Competition winners receive a monetary environmental grant for their school: 1st Place - KSH 30,000 ($300) and 2nd Place - KSH 10,000 ($100).
